Techsmax is a Registered NDIS Provider for 0111 Home Modification and 0123 Assistive Prod-Household Task. Examples of how home automation can help

  • Lights, air conditioners, TV, cabinetry, blinds, doors, and other devices can be automated and operated via smartphone/tablet, remote or voice commands.

  • Automatic lighting as the individuals move from room to room, particularly beneficial for those with restricted mobility.

  • Door locks can be automated and operated through smartphone/tablet, remote, or face recognition intercom, enabling secure access without keys. Additionally, door operators can be installed to swing doors open for individuals with limited strength.

  • Our app can integrate with eye tracking devices to assist people with quadriplegia.

  • For those with limited mobility and speech disability, our app can incorporate speech therapy devices.

  • Single button execution of customised home automation tasks, and scheduled execution of tasks list at pre-set times.

AUTOMATION

Lighting control

  • Relay is installed behind normal light switch.

  • Can be used with normal light switch hardware.

  • No additional control cabling is required.

  • 2-way switching can be retained.

  • Provide away-from-home control.

Tile-style switch

  • Tile series contains 1/2/4-button panels.

  • 86mm x 86mm in size.

  • Both plastic and metal versions are available.

  • Laser etching of icon and text is supported.

  • Built-in RGB backlight with adjustable colour and brightness level.

Door control

  • Relay will be installed at door control module.

  • Relay is installed in parallel with standard door open contact.

  • Relay can run off DC supply voltage from door controller if required.

  • Provide away-from-home control.

Door operator

  • Options for swing and sliding door.

  • Swing door operator can be mounted on the door or in-ground.

  • Flatscan safety sensor on both sides to prevent operation while people are in the doorway.

  • Manual open/close of door is retained.

Occupant app

  • Automation control of light, door, air conditioner, TV, kitchen & bathroom cabinetry, building entrance and lift, and many more.

  • Techsmax’s custom user interface is designed specifically for SDA and adhered to W3C/WAI Mobile Accessibility standards.

  • Fully customisable for individual occupant to suit their specific needs.

  • Versions for tablet and phone are available.

Support app

  • The support staff can easily monitor FIP (Fire Indicator Panel) alerts and duress/nurse call notifications.

  • The app can show where the FIP and duress/nurse call notifications originate from.

  • Control of foyer door and lift release.

  • The phone app allows support staff to open/close the SDA apartment door when assisting an occupant, eliminating the need to carry multiple keys.

  • Versions for PC, tablet, and phone are available.

DURESS / NURSE CALL

  • The nurse call system provides occupants with the means to press a wall-mounted button to call the OOA apartment and alert the support staff in case of an emergency.

  • Nurse call can also be initiated via the occupant app on tablet/phone or via voice command to Amazon Echo Dot.

  • Two-way voice communication between the SDA apartment and OOA apartment is provided through speakers that come with the nurse-call buttons.

  • The nurse call function works independently from the automation technology. It runs on a separate communication network so that all critical events are received by the support staff. The nurse-call event is also duplicated within the automation system to provide additional reliability.

  • The support app display call alerts from SDA apartments.

  • Nurse call is designed to be cascading with the flexibility to call multiple numbers, utilising PABX phone system and software phone.

  • Wireless pendant can be added to provide additional call points.

SMOKE ALARM

  • The smoke alarm system comes with 2 smoke detectors and a wall-mounted control panel. They communicate with each other wirelessly, so placement can be determined depending on the tenants' needs.

  • In the event of smoke detection, the control panel will activate the audible alarm and the strobe, providing visual alarm for tenants with hearing impairment. The audio alarm can be snoozed from the control panel and can report the alarm back to the OOA apartment.

  • In addition to the local smoke alarm, the building fire alarm can be configured to trigger the apartment smoke detectors and the audible and visual alarm.

  • We can seamlessly integrate the Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) alarms from third-party smoke systems into our support app, providing continuous monitoring and notifications.
